UCLA Alumni Participate in Tahoe Lax Tourney

Jon Yip, "Nasty" Nate Entrekin, Pat Chung, Garret Peterson, Alex Shen and Victor Poon played for team Presidio out of SF a few weekends back. Even though as Chung put it, "worst team ever", it sounded like a complete blast. Perhaps if Chung had a)a left and b) a men's pocket and not a women's head things would have turned out better for the old Bruins. The season is coming soon...


Apparently Steve-O and Will Jun snuck in there too!

Got a good group headed to Austin for the football game and stay tuned for the Cal football game tailgate plans.

The 1985 Bruin Laxmen posted a 9-3 record and are on their way to the Western Collegiate Playoffs. In his first year as head coach, Joe Ward has brought the Bruins a very successful season. With a core of veterans and talented freshmen, UCLA established themselves as a dominant force in the Southern Division. The Bruins were led by captains Bob McConnachie and Brian Marshall, and are a viable contender for the championship.

Bruins Heading to San Diego this Weekend

UCLA will take on San Diego State Sunday, March 7th at 2pm on campus.

FYI the Bruins lost a tough game vs LMU on Wednesday, 11-10.

Game vs LMU is at 6pm

UCLA vs Loyola Marymount

Tomorrow 3/3 at 6pm is now at Mira Costa HS in Manhattan Beach

Bruins Fall to UC Santa Barbara, 9-4

UC Santa Barbara scored the final five goals of the game as the Gauchos pulled away from UCLA in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference North Division opener. The Bruins started off hot surging to a 3-1 lead, but the Gauchos responded to tie the game at 3 at the half. After 3 quarters the score was tied at 4, but the 4th was all Santa Barbara as the Gauchos scored 5 unanswered goals. The Bruins had their chances including a couple of fast breaks, but were not able to capitalize.

The Bruins drop to 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference.

UCLA is up in the Bay Area next weekend to take on the California Golden Bears and the UC Davis Aggies.

Bruins Host Gauchos this Saturday

1pm at the North Athletic Field (NAF), 2/20

Hey guys I just wanted to remind everyone that online donations through UCLA Recreation is up and running. Anything that you can give to the team to help out with ever increasing dues is much appreciated. We need to stay competitive in the SLC Conference! Many teams receive upwards of 15k a year from their school and pay their coaching staff 20k plus! Needless to say we have a long way to go to match this. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Rose Bowl SDSU Tailgate!
